FDM is delighted to have received a grant of £2400 from the National Lottery to help us to restart our service this autumn.
August 2020
Thanks to the charitable fundraising by the Freemasons of Yorkshire West Riding, FDM is very pleased to have received a grant of £2000 from the West Yorkshire Masonic Charities. The grant is crucial to us being able to restart our service in September as it will help to cover the cost of regular cleaning and disinfecting of the minibus in-between trips out, as well as allowing us to purchase PPE for our volunteer drivers.
Thank you to local golfers and customers of the Hare and Hounds< Rothwell and The Unicorn at Carlton. They have kindly donated £350 from the funds raised at a charity golf event. Well done and our thanks to everyone involved.

FDM is delighed to have received news that The Edward Gostling Foundation has pledged a grant of £4000 towards our project to replace our oldest minibus.
Our thanks also to the Morley Lions who have provided £180 towards trips out for our newest 327 Social Club.

FDM is verypleased to have received further grants towards our campaign to replace our oldest mini-bus. We have received £1500 from the Metcalfe Smith Trust and
£2000 from The Rank Foundation.
FDM is also very grateful this month to have been awarded £400 from Swillington Village Council towards the cost of insuring and maintaining our mini-buses.
We are very pleased to also announce that we have received a grant from
Barchester’s Charitable Foundation of £600 so we can offer some trips out on
steam trains this summer for members of our social club. Our photo above show staff from Barchester Highfield Home alongside members of our Social Club, who were presented with the cheque and treated to tea and cakes on our visit.

2 Projects get support from local Councillors
FDM would like to say thank you to all our Outer South Leeds Community Committee for their generous support of our Activity. We have received a grant of £12,000 from them for our Wheels to Wellbeing campaign for a new 11 Seater minibus to replace our old one which is now over 11 years old. Councillors also confirmed a grant of £3500 towards our Going Places project during the year April 2019 to 2020. The grant will contribute towards the cost of postage and fuel, as well as bus maintenance and insurance.
