Vacancy: Project Development Co-ordinator
We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic part time Project Development Co-ordinator to work 10 hours a week across 3 days (negotiable). Salary starting at minimum wage then rising to living wage after probation period.
The post requires a well-organised and self-motivated individual with a flexible approach who can work with minimal supervision. Previous experience of using Microsoft office software is essential. The ideal candidate will need good communication and organisational skills to plan and promote the Social Club aspect of the role, ensuring suitability of venues and destinations. April and Go Ape.
On the 22 April, Gordon Fitzgerald trustee, volunteer driver of FDM, raised £150. Carole Allen raised £231 .50p and her granddaughter Alicia Wrighton raised £100 totalling £481. 50p.
Morrisons Carol’s employer run a scheme to match fund money raised by there staff for good causes this will increase our total to £713.
This money will be used to continue providing FDM services to reduce isolation and loneliness in our community. A huge thank-you to Gordon Carole and Alicia for their brave efforts and everyone who supported them, from all at FDM. Gordon’s dog was a big supporter of them but did not take part

We kicked off February with a trip to the Alhambra Theatre to see the our Patron ‘ Billy Pearce’ star in Peter Pan .
Our members had a fabulous time and all left the theatre with a positive feeling. here are a few of the comments:-
‘ Brilliant afternoon'; ‘ Had a positive impact on my life'; ‘ made me feel happy'; ‘ it was a good laugh, just what I needed'; ‘made me feel happy after losing a friend’

Additional 16 Seater Minibus
September 2016 saw our new 16 seater minibus visable on the roads of Leeds. The Department of Transport Community Transport Fund provided this in order to increase our capacity and comfort for our members. Below are some of the photos of the handover. This took place at Iveridge Hall, Oulton, Leeds. Thank you to the staff at Iveridge Hall for their kind hospitality.

Welcome to The Elderberries, they have been on their first trip with FDM. They enjoyed it so much they have booked again!
Mark welcomed us at the Hare and Hounds on a snowy morning with a lovely roaring open fire, steaming hot coffee and tea, and scones with fresh cream and strawberries. You an see some of the photographs on our social club page.
We would like to thank Mark and his family from the Hare & Hounds, Rothwell for kindly hosting a coffee morning on Wednesday 9th November. It was a huge success. mark also donated £200.00 from winning the Leeds Area Charity Pub of the Year! He now goes forward to the regional/national finals. All at FDM wish him luck!
